| We are looking for a 2 unique individuals to join our Engineering team. You have worked as a Software Developer in a start-up and enjoy the excitement of the fast pace and changing priorities that this type of environment brings. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, one Software Developer will focus on developing new features and new products while the other will be primarily responsible for debugging and maintenance for embedded applications written in Pascal and C. Other responsibilities include: |

Get up to speed on the design of the existing implementation;
Modify existing code to implement new product features;
Troubleshoot existing code;
Research, prototype and integrate new hardware peripherals;
Contribute to architecture of new code;
Port existing applications to Linux;
Unit testing;
Generation of User and design documentation;
Applications support for pre and post sales activities; |

Some design and architecture skills, including knowledge of software development practices and analysis techniques.
Understanding of the entire system from the driver level through to the user interface.
General knowledge of systems and software design methods required.
Excellent problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills required.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Good business acumen related to software development. |

Electronic Engineering Technologist and or Computer Science diploma or related degree required
Minimum 2-4 years experience in C and/or Pascal embedded application development using structured software techniques.
Experience with multi-threaded programming or RTOS
Experience with microcontrollers
Experience with PC104 architecture
Must be able to work flexible hours to accommodate clients schedules.
Must be willing and able to travel in Canada and the US and possibly Southeast Asia. |
