Montgomery College, one of Marylands oldest community colleges, is a multi-campus institution located in Montgomery County Maryland. The Central Administration, has need for a full-time Parking and Transportation Manager. Work schedule is Monday Friday, 8:30 a.m. 5:00 p.m. Position is located in Rockville, MD, but travels routinely to all three College Campuses.

Job Vacancy Description:

Non-bargaining. Participation in a retirement plan is a condition of employment. Starting salary $63,315-$107,910 per year, with a starting salary generally falling within the first half of the range. Online applications must be received by 12 Noon Monday April 14, 2008. Job Summary: Position is responsible for:

The overall management of parking and transportation programs for the three Montgomery College campus locations

Oversee all daily parking and transportation operations
Oversee all special events parking & transportation
operations

Coordinate operational elements as necessary with the security department and internal parking and transportation staff

Provide expert advice on all parking & or transportation related construction projects

Provide leadership and structure for the parking & transportation program through planning and coordination with both customer groups, peers and subordinates.

Salary:

$63,315-$107,910 per year, with a starting salary generally falling within the first half of the range.

Education & Training:

Position requires a Bachelors degree in Business, Management, Public Administration, Engineering or other related field. As a condition of employment, an official transcript of degree is required at the time of employment.

Qualifications:

Excellent verbal and written skills
Computer skills to include working experience with parking management systems
Word processing
Internet research
Ability to develop and manage a budget including revenues and expenditures
Presentation and client relationship skills
Maintain parking and transportation management databases and maintain deadlines
Make presentations to senior level executives
Organize and conduct research and develop findings

Experience:

Position requires 3-5 years demonstrated experience in the parking and transportation management field. Background in developing or managing parking management systems is also required. Parking management experience in a college or university setting is preferred.
