Parking and Mobility Services Manager - The Village of Oak Park- Parking Services DepartmentThe Village of Oak Park is a dynamic, transit oriented community known for its great neighborhoods and innovate public policy initiatives. The Village is adjacent to the west side of Chicago, 15 minutes from Lake Michigan, the downtown Chicago Loop and the Magnificent Mile.
 
Oak Park has a population of approximately 52,000 residents. Parking resources and assets include 114 off-street lots and 4 garages totaling 3,200 spaces, 16 overnight on-street zones totaling 2,200 spaces, and an inventory of 2,000 meters and pay stations.

Under general administrative direction of the Village Manager, plan, direct, oversee the activities and operations of the Parking Services Department involving coordination between the operation of parking structures and other parking resources that include surface lots, on-street and off-street, metered or pay station, and permit parking. This employee is also responsible for the allocation and coordination of parking resources in residential, business, school and park districts. Evaluate, oversee and monitor parking revenue collection systems. Coordinate parking systems activities with other Village departments such as Finance, Information Technology, Parking Enforcement Division of the Police Department, Office of Administrative Adjudication, divisions in the Public Works Department, outside agencies, the commercial sector in general, and the general public. Provide highly responsible assistance and administrative support to the Village Management staff with an emphasis on effective administration of the parking system and resources, and providing courteous, user-friendly customer service.

Salary Range
 
$85,492 to $110,000 (DOQ)
Required Experience and Training
 
All applicants must meet all of the following requirements.
Experience
 
Seven years of increasingly responsible public or private parking facility management experience, including five years of administrative and supervisory responsibility.

Training
 
A Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a closely related field. A Masters Degree in the areas listed above is preferred, but not required.
Licenses and Certificates
 
Possession of a valid Illinois driver license.
