Visible on far distance and impressive from an architectonic viewpoint, the car parks P20 and P21 of the Neue Landesmesse Stuttgart span over the motorway A8.
On windy heights the fair visitors will have more than 4000 parking lots available. The car parks and the additional parking areas of the fair are equipped with a Car Park Management System based on barcode technology by Scheidt & Bachmann. The various parking areas are controlled, in terms of administration and operation, by a central master level.
The crush at the first fair in the new area in the middle of June was so great that the parking lots provided were filled nearly up to full load. The parking fees can be paid directly at the fair cash terminals due to combined computer systems. To keep traffic flow clear to the fair visitors, the new Car Park Management System was linked to the existing parking guidance system, in the environment of the airport and the Neue Landesmesse.
