The American Concrete Institute, Georgia Chapter
recently recognized two notable projects designed by Timothy Haahs
& Associates, Inc. |
This annual award honors creative uses of concrete
and concrete masonry in new construction and concrete restoration
projects. The awards program brings attention to outstanding projects
and unique designs utilizing concrete.
The Southern Polytechnic State University Parking Garage received an
Award of Excellence in the Parking Decks Category. TimHaahs was part of
a design-build team led by HJ Russell to serve as prime designer for
four parking structures for the Board of Regents and the Department of
Adult Education, including the facility at Southern Polytechnic State
University. The 800 space garage complements the architectural design
of an adjacent future engineering building.
For Valdosta State University, TimHaahs served as the prime designer
for two new parking structures, the first built on the Valdosta State
campus. The Oak Street Parking Garage consists of approximately 1,000
spaces, and includes over 28,000 square feet of office space for
Auxiliary Services, the University Police Department, and the main data
center for the university. The Sustella Avenue Parking Garage consists
of approximately 1,000 spaces and includes over 13,000 square feet of
office space for the Parking and Transportation Department, the
Recreation Department, and a campus police sub-station.
TimHaahs is proud to contribute to these notable university projects,
and would like to congratulate these institutions and fellow design
team members on these notable awards. |
