EverLast Induction Lighting Introduces New ARRA Compliant Bi-Level Parking Garage Fixture

New U.S. Made Induction Parking Garage Fixture Offers Enhanced Optics and an Advanced Thermal Management System.
Municipalities, private sector business and educational institutions across the United States are investing in retrofitting parking structures with energy efficient lighting. Lighting is a key element to any parking structure as it has a tremendous impact on energy consumption, safety, security and aesthetics. Many of these retrofit projects have been funded by ARRA monies and require the use of American made products.

This fall, Full Spectrum Solutions will begin manufacturing its newest industry innovation, the EverLast U.S. Made Parking Garage Fixture, which boasts enhanced optics, engineered thermal management, and proprietary SMART Bi-Level technology. Manufacturing will take place at the newly constructed Full Spectrum Solutions LEED Platinum manufacturing facility located in Jackson MI. EverLast Induction Lighting continues to engineer and manufacture lighting solutions for parking structures by designing fixtures that meet the needs of parking professionals, property owners and pedestrians alike.

The new EverLast Garage fixture is the answer to a market demand for a high quality, high performance parking garage solution. Facility managers retrofitting multi-level parking structures need a fixture they can rely on, from a manufacturer they can trust, considering the scope and scalability of these projects, stated Brandon Marken, Director of Commercial Sales. Weve heard horror stories of catastrophic failures due to poorly designed heat management systems in other fixtures. EverLast engineers spent considerable time focusing on the structural design and thermal management of this fixture.

The advanced internal heat management system was designed for separation and airflow between the ballast and lamp. By isolating specific areas we were able to ensure electronic components have a longer life cycle, stated Justin Baldwin, VP of Product Development and Engineering. We also took into consideration, fixture maintenance and ease of installation, with the design of the fixtures compact structure and twist lock mounting system. EverLast has successfully installed thousands of parking garage fixtures across the country, and this fixture is the latest in a long line of innovative lighting solutions.

Compared to traditional induction fixtures, the Everlast U.S. Made Parking Garage Fixture utilizes enhanced optics, improving fixture efficiency 30% and increasing overall light distribution by 35%. Also integral in the design, is EverLast proprietary bi-level technology. Historically parking garages have been synonymous with being over lit especially when vacant. The EverLast Parking Garage Fixture incorporates SMART Bi-Level technology, stepping down the fixtures to 40% when the area is vacant for a set length of time. Upon occupancy the fixtures step back up to 100% power; SMART technology allows facilities to achieve over 60% energy savings compared to existing fixtures.

EverLast Induction Lighting, a subsidiary of Full Spectrum Solutions, Inc. has quickly grown into the premier U.S. manufacturer of energy efficient lighting solutions for roadway, parking structure, facility and area lighting applications. Several of their existing U.S. Made fixtures have been successfully installed at NASA, Fort Drum Military Base, The University of California Davis, The University of Michigan, Harley Davidson and Yuengling Brewery.

We have watched more and more of our products go off shore over the past 10 years, and it all adds to the decline of Michigan as well as the United States, stated Jim Hater, Operations Manager for ZD Metal Products, supplier of the aluminum heat sink used in the EverLast Garage Fixture. EverLast Lightings emphasis on producing in the U.S. is tremendous and speaks highly of the company. It is vital for people to Buy American.
