Canadian Parking Foundation Awards 2006
|
| The formation of the Canadian Parking Association more than 20 years ago lead to the realization that the parking industry is rich with professionals from many disciplines. Contributions to the success of the industry range from the tireless dedication of volunteers to the creation of innovative systems and technology development. Many members of the parking industry have been acknowledged by Principals of Read Jones Christofferson through two awards: The Ted Seeberg Memorial Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Canadian Parking Industry and the Ed Keate Award for Outstanding Contribution to Advancement of Knowledge in the Parking Industry. |

Ted Seeberg headed RJCs Parking Division from 1964 until his untimely death in December of 1985. He was a charter member of the Parking Consultants Council and a member of both the NPA and the then IMPC (now known as IPI), Mr. Seeberg was present at the founding convention of the CPA and worked closely with founding officers to build and expand our Canadian association. |

| Norm Webster has worked for Read Jones Christoffersen for over 30 years and is currently the Managing Principal of the company's structural group located in Calgary, Alberta. He has served on the Canadian Parking Foundation Board as Secretary-Treasurer since the Foundation was founded (over 10 years). In addition to recording the minutes and managing the finances, he has been instrumental in advancing many projects that the CPF has had with the Canadian Standards Association during his time on the Board. He has served on the Canadian Standards Association Parking Committee for over 23 years, and as its Chair, for one term. He is currently the Vice Chair. His efforts in this area have contributed to the standards we have today for parking garages. He has served not only the Canadian Parking Foundation well, but the Canadian parking industry as a whole during his career and is very deserving of the Ted Seeburg award. |
