Gatsometer has received the Intertraffic Innovation Award 2010 in the category Environment for its Environmental Zone project in Amsterdam, Gatsometer's bespoke solution for the automated enforcement of this zone.
Gatsometers achievement was honoured by an international jury of experts, who evaluated a total of 80 companies. The jury said in its press release:
While cleaner air is the initial benefit, we feel that the 'gentle' persuasion for the trucking industry to clean up its act is also an important side-benefit.
We are very honored to receive the Innovation Award, said Timo Gatsonides, Managing Director of Gatsometer. We have already received much attention in the local and international media for this project. This award is the icing on the cake. Not only has our business approach and solution been well received by our customer, the city of Amsterdam, it has also been recognized for innovation and excellence by an independent jury of experts in the traffic industry.
