--The Delaware Valley Association of Structural Engineers awarded the Morris Street Parking Facility, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, a 2006 Award of Excellence in Structural Engineering.
The 820 space Morris Street Parking garage is a ten tier, precast open parking structure in an urban environment. The garage is wrapped on the east and south sides with 13 stories of student housing. The integration of these two buildings is the project’s most unique and distinguishing feature.
--The Delaware Valley Association of Structural Engineers awarded the Beaver Avenue Parking Garage, in State College, PA, a 2006 Award of Excellence in Structural Engineering.
The Beaver Avenue Parking Facility was the first new parking structure built in State College in over 15 years. The Borough was faced with several hurdles, including the vacating of a popular alley and the site selection directly across the street from a historic stone church.
--In addition, the New Jersey Transit Hamilton Station Parking Garage project, won an award in the Precast Concrete category at the 15th Annual Awards Program at the EPDACI Awards Banquet in April 2006.
The parking garage is situated on the eastern end of the existing semi-circular shaped surface parking lot, parallel to the rail tracks and adjacent to the Hamilton Station bus terminal. The six story precast parking structure provides 2,066 spaces for transit commuters.
