Many people underestimate the importance of good parking management. A great shopping experience begins before you even enter the shopping center and lingers until you drive off. Bringing together players in this industry during the world's first Shopping Center Parking Network Event at the Sheraton Brussels Airport Hotel has turned out to be a great succes.
During the opening and presentation by Maren Frankemölle, Q-Park Operations Germany, it already became clear that a lot of questions wouldn't be left unanswered. With workshops organized by key players in the industry the event covered a broad range of hot topics in the shopping center parking industry.
Cashless payments, customer loyalty, connecting different stakeholders in the parking market, parking management, the power of parking guidance and LPR are just some of the topics that were discussed during this 2 day event.
Throughout the open discussion industry players openly discussed whether or not to implement paid parking, how to measure performance and how to deal with collected customer data as well as how you can activate merchants to participate in loyalty programs.
The evening event, held at the Atomium in Brussels was the perfect opportunity to recap the day and discuss parking matters while enjoying great food, drinks and music.
We hope to welcome all participants from both the industry and shopping centers next year again. We are already looking forward to our next event, which will be the Airport Parking Network Event on November 21 and 22, 2016 at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
