Q-Free/TCS at Walt Disney World

Disney Springs

Disney Springs at Disney World has a new parking garage with very cool, high-tech parking space indicators from Q-free/TCS.

With the new Parking Guidance System in the all-new five story parking garage in Disney Springs. In this article you can read more about this PGS but we wanted to share a short snippet from that article explaining why the PGS is so cool:

"The floor entrance and each row has a small electronic screen that has a number on it. That screen is telling the parker how many spaces are available in that specific aisle. Over top of each parking spot is a scanner. It detects if there is a car in the space. When a car pulls into the space, the little green lights turn red and one number is deducted from the row counter and subsequently the floor counter. If a car leaves the space, the scanner detects this and then adds a number to the screen at the end of the aisle.

This system allows the driver to know how many parking spaces are available on a floor and even more detailed, in an aisle before they turn onto it. This technology will virtually eliminate driving from floor to floor, row after row looking for a space."
