UK councils make £650 million from parking

The amount of money from parking charges and fines is set to rise to £650 million a year. Profits increase with more than 25% in 4 years.

These figures were made public yesterday in the United Kingdom. The amount of money collected from parking has increased even though the ministers promised that they would reduce the financial burden on motorists. People are now blaming the government for using parking fees as an illegal form of taxation to raise revenue.
