The occupancy status for each parking space is delivered in real-time to mobile devices, host or dynamic signs. This eliminates the need to search for a parking space entirely and the CO2 emissions will be significantly reduced. Parking management is thus more efficient, competitive and economic.

MSR-Traffic‘s cutting-edge magnetic field sensor technology guide car drivers to the next free parking space.

The wireless sensors are weather-proof and offer a very high detection accuracy. They are installed underfloor and cast flush with the road surface, so that they are vandal-proof and protected from snow-ploughs.

If a vehicle enters a parking space, the sensor detects the change in the earth‘s magnetic field and signals this information to a server via radio waves for processing and evaluation. Seamless integration with navigation systems, parking guidance systems and ticket machines possible.

MSR-Traffic solutions for Indoor Parking

Ultrasonic sensors register the availability of every single parking space and process the information with a controller/central PC.

The car park occupancy data are visualised and indicated on LED displays installed on every car park level and at the main entrance. With this system customers are guided to the nearest available parking space. A benefit that doesn‘t only save the car drivers valuable time but also reduces the traffic produced by endless searching. Moreover, the optimised parking utilisation decreases ventilation costs.

Ultrasonic sensor with integrated status-LED

Ultrasonic sensor with integrated status-LEDUltrasonic single space sensor for the detection of the occupancy status of parking spaces. Five ultra-bright LEDs for each colour display the status of the single parking space. Each unit contains sensor and LEDs. Intended for the detection of the single parking space occupancy status and the information transmission zone controller via serial interface. To be mounted to a wall within a lane (not within a parking space!).

U-Spot magnetic field sensor (wireless)The U-Spot is the battery-powered wireless parking sensor with the longest lifespan and most reliability in the market. It detects parking occupancy and duration of occupation by differentiating between the arrival and departure date and time. It is suitable for any outdoor parking and on-street applications where parking enforcement and guidance is required. The U-Spot magnetic field sensor (wireless) detection system uses a reliable and robust approach that responds immediately to any change in the parking occupancy in order to optimise parking management. U-Spot´s raw data is transported through a multisensory network from the street to the cloud platform where a determination is made whether a vehicle has arrived or has just left. It does so by applying a sophisticated algorithm in real-time that takes into account both multiple sensor data and surrounding conditions.

Description and Applications

Centralising the decision making process of the system platform allows it to manage complex parking situations, different parking applications and continuously improve reporting accuracy. U-Spot is constantly learning and actively adapting itself to changes such as new street furnishings thanks to the back-end algorithms utilising all sensor data and its own surrounding environment information. Thus, it can be installed in a pavement or curb without hindering any parked vehicles, making installation and deployment easier and offering little disturbance to residents or pedestrians.
