Parkbytext™ is a parking payments solution designed with the driver in mind.  It offers a cashless, convenient and cost effective way for consumers to pay for their parking by text, app, online or phone.  A goal of parkbytext™ is to provide motorists with an easy-to-use service, that also provides cost savings and efficiencies, while also contributing to a greener paperless environment.

Parkbytext™ manages parking for businesses and consumers.

Over the past 4 years, parkbytext™ has provided their clients with the following services, along-side award winning customer service:

White List

This is where every transaction through parkbytext™ is placed automatically on the White List for a specified period of time so that the enforcement officer is aware that the car is legitimately parked i.e. paid up, staff, authorised vehicle, or has a virtual permit.

Account Holder & Non-account Holder   

Parkbytext™ customers can also be a non-account holder with approximately 15% using this method of payment.

Apps and WEB Pre-pay on line

Parkbytext™ is seeing a big shift to drivers using Apps as a preferred method of payment and control of their account, with up to 30% of transactions originating from the app.

Corporate accounts  

Corporate accounts are for business customers who have multiple vehicles to register, who can be billed or top up the one account for the company.

Virtual Permits

Parkbytext™ are seeing many clients moving to Virtual Permits and using the White List to control them. This reduces the cost of administration, paper permits or scratch cards over time. Enforcement and reporting is the same as all systems are fully integrated with POAM (Parking Operations and Management), the parkbytext™ software system, and the White List to the back office and enforcement personnel.

ANPR – Automatic Number Plate Recognition  

In certain jurisdictions enforcement is via automated tickets and this allows parkbytext™ to record a vehicle when entering the parking area and exiting the parking area and to bill them accordingly if an account holder or alternatively issue a fine if enforcement is required.

Visitor parking  

Visitor parking has a variable cost, which is billed to the customers mobile. This short code text based system works very well where revenue is not the key driver and or short stay / low tariff parking maybe applicable i.e. motorcycle bays, taxi ranks, loading bays. The benefit is not so much the revenue but to keep a record of who is parking, when and how often. The vehicle is placed automatically on a white list like all other parkbytext™ transactions.

Telecommunications Support

Both the SMS and IVR numbers belong to the client and parkbytext™ constantly monitor and amend, where necessary, all our communications channels – Text, IVR, APPs, Web and Call Centre, which is open 24/7, 365 days of the year.


Parkbytext™ provides real-time reporting using the parkbytext™ web back-office called POAM (Parking Operations and Management) where clients have their own logins to see all information relating to their locations. Bespoke reports are issued based on client’s desires and requirements with real time data to suit clients needs. 

Enforcement and Operation Support

Parkbytext™ supports the full operation of a phone payment system and ensure that the current phone system is at the very least replicated so there is no loss of customer know-how or satisfaction. 

Banking and Accounts Support

This includes:

  • Taking payment card details from the customer and maintaining the customers E-wallet
  • Transferring all parking transaction monies into a nominated bank account as decided
  • Opening and closing accounts
  • Accounting for refunds on account closures and correct any valid incorrect  transactions
  • Reconciling, banking and reporting on retail payments from partnered retail outlets
