Main Responsibilities

The Accounts Receivable Supervisor is responsible for providing support to the CARS Monthly Parking Department. (CARS is the application used for invoicing, reporting and validating parking accounts). The Supervisor will develop an in depth working knowledge of the departments’ responsibilities and system in order to provide backup to the Manager, Monthly Parking.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs monthly account analysis on all A/R accounts to ensure they properly reflect the Company’s financial position in accordance with company policy and GAAP
  • Analyzes the A/R accounts and possesses the ability to identify and explain variances
  • Supervises the work and evaluates the performance of CARS personnel
  • Trains, supervises and ensures deadlines are adhered to on a regular basis
  • Reviews and signs-off on monthly A/R Clerk checklists
  • Responds to management and field personnel’s questions regarding accounts receivable issues
  • Reviews and processes journal entries
  • Performs Lockbox bank reconciliations
  • Reviews and submits accounts to collection agency
  • Makes recommendations for process enhancements
  • Performs special assignments as required
  • Works with Director, Monthly Parking & Client AR and Manager, CARS Monthly Parking on implementation of new company procedures and forms

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Major in Accounting preferred
  • Minimum of 2-4 years prior supervisor experience preferred
  • Strong grasp of GAAP
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common financial reports
  • Experience with general ledger and journal entry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong organization skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
