We are currently searching for an assembler/inspector to join our manufacturing team in Loveland, Ohio.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assemble products by using a variety of hand and power tools, fixtures, work instructions and test equipment to perform a series of operations to correctly assemble and test electromechanical parking control devices.
Read, interpret and follow documentation, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble products.
Maintain inventory of components at work station daily by restocking from primary, secondary, bulk and/or overflow storage locations.
Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
Maintain daily unit production and efficiency requirements.
Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Complete cross-training requirements to work between multiple assembly stations as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualifications
High school diploma.
1-2 years of related experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Basic computer knowledge.
Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications.
Ability to analyze and solve problems.
Ability to work with others collaboratively.
Strong organizational skills.
Attention to detail.
This job requires manual dexterity which includes the repeated use of your arms, hands, wrists, and fingers to grasp small and large objects and to use small parts (bolts, washers, screws) and handheld tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, small power tools) to put assemblies together quickly and accurately.
This job requires physical strength which includes the ability able to hold, push, pull, lift and carry heavy items, within OSHA requirements up to 50 pounds.
This job typically requires that you stand for long periods of time and involves manual labor. You will also be required to sit, walk, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and carry materials.
This job has vision requirements which include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
This job has hearing requirements which include being able to hear an abnormal sound from a motor, bearing, transmission, transport, relay, hinge or electromechanical component.
This job requires the regular performance of repetitive tasks.
The working environment is indoors in a production area that is not air-conditioned. There is ample ventilation but the production area can become hot and humid during the summer months.
The noise level can be loud at times due to the use of pneumatic and electric assembly tools as well as the use of forklifts and other material handling equipment. You may be required to wear protective earplugs at times.
Florescent lighting is used in all production areas.
Work hours are typically in 8 to 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday with an occasional Saturday workday as required.
The working environment can include odors from cleaning, sealing, bonding, oil, grease, and other production related processes.
Work attire is typically casual due to the likelihood of getting dirt on your clothing. Some specific job functions may require additional protective items such as a smock, hat, gloves, safety vest, glasses/goggles and steel-toed boots/shoes and ear protection.
