The successful Technical Services Manager will be responsible for IT support, Project Management, and Service Management in the designated territory for Amano McGann, Inc. (AMI). The Technical Services Manager is responsible for installation, service, and support or all customer solutions in the territory. The Technical Services Manager will provide remote and on-site support for all branch service and installation technicians.
A minimum Four-Year Degree or Equivalent Experience in Project Management
Five or more years of direct project management experience in handling medium to large projects.
BS level computer science degree and/or related experience
In-depth PC Hardware troubleshooting skills
Extensive knowledge of MS Windows MS Office Applications.
Knowledge and understanding of computer systems from Configuring RAID Controllers to installing a Server Operating System and configuring SQL Server.
Understanding of computer domains, Active Directory, Shares, Users, and Groups in an MS Windows domain environment
Strong Written and Verbal Communication skills. Excellent Verbal Communication skills will be a requirement as the job requires constant interface with clients and general contractors.
Strong understanding of Networking and Server Platforms is a must.
Work in the field on hands with Installation Manager and Service Technicians
Comprehensive understanding of Electrical and Mechanical wiring
Implement and maintain our system of accounting and management procedures to maximize revenue while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Create a “Team” environment through open communication and involvement with all branch and corporate staff.
Work directly with the General Manager to maintain adequate staff to accommodate our normal service and project workload with a minimum of overtime.
Setting SQL servers in accordance to Amano McGann installation guidelines.
Setting up Application servers in accordance with Amano McGann installation guidelines.
Support Service Technicians in the field with IT related issues.
Working with HQ support to find a quick resolution to IT related issues.
Effectively communicate with end-user customers keeping them informed of our support related progress in resolving issues.
Project and Service Management
Managing all projects for the Atlanta Branch
Manage all aspects of the service organization including but not limited to On-Call after-hours and weekend emergency service as required.
Assist sales during the bidding process to formulate solutions and perform site reviews for install labor estimates and subcontractor work
Coordinate labor requirements and scheduling with Operations Manager and Installation Manager to maximize the profitability of each project
Interface with the customer during the entire project to show strong management practices.
Prepare weekly office project meetings
Weekly meetings / Conference Calls
Timely notification of problems or delays
Research and gain working knowledge of new hardware, devices, and tools to provide better system solutions and installation efficiency.
Maintain up to date accurate records of all costing associated with projects.
Maintain and verify time sheets
Verify inventory transfers to projects
Provide system drawings including as-built drawings
Work with Office Administrator to ensure projects are set up correctly in Dynamics
Review all software and hardware orders, etc., prior to the order being finalized
Understand and comply with all license and permit regulations
Meet with General Manager and Office Administrator to Track inbound delivery and coordinate site delivery of equipment.
Work with sales to establish a written scope of work for all subcontractors
Obtain price quotes from subcontractors and ensure contract agreements are in place and insurance requirements met for all subcontractors prior to beginning work.
Supervise all subcontractor work in cooperation with Installation Manager
Create and update project schedules using an industry standard format.
Perform monthly reviews of all projects with Corporate accounting team.
Keep labor costs in line with budget
Coordinate and manage all customer training for project
Follow and enforce all OSHA safety practices
Look into OSHA certification
Develop and maintain a safety program
Responsible for project invoicing
Prepare and maintain AIA documents
Maintain accurate timesheet records
Make sure project acceptance and “Sign-Off” documents are completed.
Ability to utilize a professional communication style and attitude with everyone that you interact with during the course of business. Must be able to apply the right tact in certain situations.
When applicable, work in concert with the National Account team.
