Regional Human Resource Manager (Birmingham, UK)

The Role

As our Regional HR Manager, you will contribute to the development and implementation of a comprehensive Human Resources Strategy that equips the company and its people to deliver the business plan. You will work in conjunction with the HR Director and a wider team to contribute to the on-going growth of our HR strategies, which will focus on creating an excellent working environment for employees and delivering superior service levels to clients and customers.

What you’ll do

  • Develop practical plans with the relevant managers for implementation of the agreed Human Resources strategy through the business
  • Manage TUPE transfer processes for contracts secured within the Region
  • Carry out group consultation and one to one consultations with staff
  • Contribute to development of employee relations’ strategies
  • Contribute to the development of a companywide succession planning process
  • Update a wide range of HR policies and procedures and ensure they adhere to the Employment Legislation law
  • Advise Heads of Sector and Managers on appropriate methods of development for staff
  • Manage Performance and Development reviews ensuring all development needs are recorded and succession plans completed
  • Identify Management Development requirements and contribute to the formulation of a structured management development programme
  • Meet regularly with Heads of Sector, Regional Managers and Contract Managers to review and resolve HR issues and promote effective staff communication
  • Work closely with other departments of HR such as, payroll and recruitment

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience in a HR and Training background in a multi-site business
  • Experience of Recruitment, Employee Relations, Policy and Procedure development, Pay & Condition and Performance Management
  • Experience of project management practices
  • A track record of exercising sound judgement
  • Provide leadership, vision and effective communication to business partners
  • Ability to establish strong working internal and external relationships
  • Ability to handle conflict and confront issues
  • A CIPD Qualification is preferable
