Senior Group Controller / Financial Analyst (f/m)

Your responsibilities

  • Act as a Finance Business Partner for several subsidiary countries across Europe
  • Drive thorough financial analysis of monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statement) and provide commentary on financial performance
  • Interrogate monthly financial performance through variance analysis and provide commentary for group reporting as well as defining and monitoring implementation of relevant countermeasures
  • Further develop the KPI framework further to enable in-depth and meaningful performance analysis
  • Prepare detailed internal and external stakeholder reporting – for management board, shareholders, advisory and supervisory boards as well as banks
  • Manage, guide and support the subsidiary countries through the group budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Ensure good governance and compliance with respect to planning, reporting and forecasting
  • Support the continuous development of management reporting and controlling tools and systems
  • Take ownership of and support other specific group-wide projects to optimise and / or establish new processes, methods and systems (e.g. development and implementation of capex controlling, net working capital optimisation, sales controlling)

Your profile

  • An academic degree specialising in Finance, Controlling or Economics
  • Several years of relevant experience in Finance or Controlling, ideally in a Private-Equity environment
  • A solid knowledge and background with accounting standards – specifically international GAAP (IFRS) and HGB
  • Excellent analytical and numeric skills combined with the ability to distil complex matters and present in a simplified and easy to understand context
  • Strong IT expertise in MS Office as well as experience in ERP and BI-Tools (such as OLAP / hypercubes)
  • Self-motivation with a proactive and team-oriented approach to tasks and taking responsibility for new challenges and further personal development
  • Fluent in English (both written an spoken)
  • Willingness to travel to our European subsidiaries when required for specific projects
