Job Description

Came Parkare UK, who are part of the CAME Group of companies, are a wholly owned subsidiary of Parkare Group, a world leader in the design, production, installation and maintenance of both on-street and off-street parking access and revenue control systems

Experienced technical support engineer is required to provide technical support for the CAME Parkare customers UK sites in support of a brand new product and our range of legacy and current lines.

The technical support role will involve (after training):-

  • Handling technical support requests
  • Training of service personnel and other technical staff
  • Compile technical and operational manuals (including drawings)
  • Provide technical support for Came Parkare’s UK business - remotely and by visiting customers sites in person as and when required
  • Apply processes and procedures for the commissioning and testing of new parking equipment systems
  • Maintaining communication channels with Barcelona and the UK team

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Training of our customers and service engineers in all products.
  • Provide technical support to the CAME Parkare service engineers and clients in the UK
  • Writing and maintaining operating and technical manuals
  • Supporting the sales and project management department with technical information during the tender and installation phases
  • Fault finding on equipment
  • Minor software changes (e.g. tariff changes)
  • All other duties as directed by the Management team

Requirements:

  • Good communicator
  • Fully computer “literate”.
  • Full driving license.
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team under very varied conditions.
  • Prepared to be flexible and to travel, sometimes at short notice, and from time to time with occasional nights away - expenses paid.
  • Calm and confident nature when dealing with customers and the general public
  • Basic understanding of site and wiring drawings
  • Experience of low voltage and extra low voltage
  • Electronics experience desirable
  • Networking skills including configuration of TCP/IP networks
  • Computer hardware and software
  • Querying of SQL Server Databases
  • Wireless technology
  • Switch and relay technology
  • Sound Mechanical Knowledge

Desirable:

  • Experience within the access control industry, door entry systems.
