Director of Sales (San Francisco, US)

Job description

The Director of Sales/Business Development will be the primary lead in selling the City Lift Parking brand to prospective customers and projects. Given the long sales cycle, this individual will need to master nurturing new business through a consultative sales process, closing transactions, and managing the post-sales cycle through manufacturing, installation, testing and training in partnership with our project management team. This role will also have an ongoing duty to ensure that service contracts are effectively sold in to the company’s established base.

The Director of Sales/Business Development will assist in expanding the rapidly growing Bay Area market and will report directly to the V.P. of Sales.

Requirements

This job requires an individual to wear multiple hats, including:

  • Prospecting.
  • Sales calls.
  • Writing proposals.
  • Iterating on parking lift designs.
  • Working collaboratively with team get permits approved and shop drawings completed.
  • Confirming manufacturer orders.
  • Project managing the permit approval. Stay responsible for installation and testing efforts in coordination with CityLift’s installation and engineering team.
  • Collaborating with the internal team, including designers, installers, and service professionals.
  • Collaborating with all external stakeholders involved in successful project development, including developers, architects, engineers, city planners, construction managers, general contractors, parking operators, and property managers.

Qualification

The Director of Sales/Business Development must be a consummate business person in all respects of capability and professionalism

  • An existing network of Bay Area real estate developers, architects, and general contractors.
  • Undergraduate degree with 10-15 years of related work and sales experience required.
  • Self-motivated. A “fire in the belly” determination to succeed.
  • Ability to build a solid grasp of all aspects of automated parking lifts-from a customer/developer perspective and a technical perspective.
  • Excellent writer and verbal communicator.
  • Ability to learn and interpret planning requirements holistically.
  • High attention to detail, including design and dimension accuracy.
  • Ability to succeed at staying on top of a queue of projects at various stages of development.
  • Ability to build and lead a team over time.

Compensation

Compensation will include a combination of a competitive base salary and the opportunity for bonus and equity as the company and the individual achieves milestones.
