Low Voltage Technician

This is an extremely important position where you will frequently be in the field acting as the face of the company while testing and commissioning new installs, or performing repairs of existing units. It requires someone who is a natural self-starter and comfortable in a fast-paced, fluid environment - A person who thrives on challenge and problem solving. If you enjoy identifying problems and taking action to resolve them, you will do well here. Frequent travel will be required to some of the best cities in the United States. This is an entry level to intermediate position, no prior experience with parking lifts required, but would be preferred.

Key Duties Include

  • Work closely with the Project Manager to execute given tasks.
  • Perform required work to install wiring from a PLC to sensors.
  • Quickly become a subject matter expert on our automotive lifts in order to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems during the QC and testing process.
  • Utilitze various testing equipment such as multimeters to ensure connectivity to given sensors and relays.
  • Understand a wiring diagram and the how to utilize it in the execution of a given job.
  • Perform regular service and inspections on local projects.
  • Travel to jobsites for installation, start-up as well as emergency repairs. Our projects are typically located in major metro areas across the United States (Bay Area, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, NY, Miami).
  • Ensure a safe work environment is maintained on site.

Job Related Qualifications

  • Proven ability to install and troubleshoot mechanical-electrical equipment.
  • Able to thrive in a fast paced, high performance environment.
  • Ability to anticipate problems based on experience in the field.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in writing and on the phone.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, ensuring installation crews understand the requirements.
  • Must be well spoken, highly organized and computer literate.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High degree of creativity and self-initiative.
  • Results oriented.
  • Excellent team player and able to perform under pressure.
  • Flexible working outside normal business hours as needed to meet time zones.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Must be able to travel on a frequent basis to US job sites.
