DESIGNA Access Corporation is the North American subsidiary of a large European Group that develops, manufactures, and installs fully automated parking access and revenue control system solutions. DESIGNA USA goes to market through both direct sales and distribution channels, and provides design, turn-key system implementation, training, and ongoing support services to our car park management clients.

As part of our ongoing expansion and commitment to the US market place, DESIGNA is seeking to hire a Regional Sales Manager to join our team working out of our Metropolitan Chicago Headquarters located in Westmont, IL. This position will provide leadership, management and coordination of company sales and sales support functions within the Eastern Region for Partner Sales and Direct Sales. Execute and implement sales strategy with input from Director and Marketing Team. Forecast, monitor and analyze sales activity against goals.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinate regional company sales and collaborate with Business Development function to deliver budgeted target results;
  • Follow up on opportunity leads and generate sales opportunities through personal contacts in the market place
  • Develop and maintain Partner Distribution Channel for DESIGNA Products & Services;
  • Assist Sales and Marketing Team in establishing new Partners in underserved markets;
  • Evangelize DESIGNA solutions to key industry influencers (National Operators, Consultants and Major End Users) to drive sales to DESIGNA’s Partners and Direct Offices
  • Develop and coordinate sales selling cycle and methodology;
  • Manage sales pipeline and CRM input;
  • Coordinate with the company marketing function to help identify and develop new customers for products and services as well as new products and functionality;
  • Prepare monthly executive summary of all sales and marketing activities showing turn over, back log, pipeline, won/loss ratio and dealer/partner activity summaries;
  • Directly manage Partner Sales and major and critical client accounts in the region, and coordinate the management of all other regional accounts;
  • Participate in the development of new project proposals;
  • Represent the company at various community and/or business meetings to promote the company;
  • Review Request for Proposals and develop appropriate proposal responses.
  • Prepare, issue, and deliver Sales Proposals for Partners and direct clients
  • Promote positive relations with partners, vendors, distributors, and colleagues;
  • Recommend policies and procedures to enhance sales performance;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities

Work together with other DESIGNA team members to ensure that client requests are actioned effectively and efficiently.
Be a contributing and effective member of the DESIGNA Access Corporation team.

Skill Requirements

  • Self-starter;
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision;
  • Possess creative problem-solving skills;
  • Strong sales presentation skills with exceptional inter-personal skills;
  • Relevant Parking Industry (or related) Experience in the Strategic Sales Process planning and execution. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management. Knowledge of structuring sales target goals and revenue expectations;
  • Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships – especially during times of negotiation or conflict resolution;
  • Ability to motivate teams to produce results within designated time-frames and simultaneously manage several projects;
  • Ability to participate in and facilitate cross-functional group meetings;
  • Position requires willingness to work flexible schedule and significant travel;

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience;
  • 3+ years’ proven hunter-type experience selling within the Parking, Access, and/or Revenue control industry or related industry (such as building access/alarm systems);
  • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated sales experience within the Parking, Access and Revenue Control industry or related – such as building access / alarm systems industry;
  • Proven success prospecting, building a pipeline, moving opportunities through the sales cycle; proposing, presenting, and closing deals as you work with C-level and other decision-makers;
  • Experience working with value-added resellers – recruiting, training, managing and providing sales support, etc.;
  • Familiarity with CRM software;
  • Valid driver’s license, Passport, personal vehicle and clean driving record required;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite – particularly PowerPoint and Excel);
  • Available to travel throughout the continental US, Canada and Europe overnight as required - > 60%;
  • Able to work flexible hours (occasionally during weekends) to ensure customer requirements and commitments are met;
  • Well versed in Strategic Selling Skills and Value Selling.
