New Product Introduction Engineer (Amsterdam, NL)

As a New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer, you’ll working together with our Technology and Operations team reporting to our VP of Engineering. You’ll be owning the technical part of the process of getting our products produced at our manufacturing partners according to specifications and quality standards. You’ll be bringing new products to production, implement engineering changes in production, improve our production testing and configuration practice. You would generally own all technical communication to our external suppliers regarding our products including electronics, housing and firmware.

Requirements

Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Lead last part of engineering cycle when it comes to bringing our new product to production (New Product Introduction)
  • Technically review and propose improvements for manufacturing process of charging stations, consisting of electronics, housing and firmware
  • Be the main point of communication with suppliers when it comes to operational engineering related topics
  • Perform assessments from hardware development side in case of new supplier selection
  • Lead alignment with manufacturing partners when setting up new production (lines)
  • Support our Engineers in optimising products in development for production
  • Lead improvement of automated testing procedures in configuration procedures in manufacturing
  • Implement technical releases protocol for new components
  • Assist with quality related issues in production

Skills/background required:

  • BSc degree, engineering, preferably electronics
  • Min. 5 years’ experience
  • Experience in optimising/improving electronic manufacturing processes
  • Experience in bringing alignment with manufacturing partners when setting up new production (lines)
  • Knowledge on product development and production processes
  • Knowledge on electronics platform with integrated embedded firmware
  • Experience with setting up automated testing
  • Project management skills
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodology
