IT Helpdesk Technician (Austin, US)


FLASH is seeking an IT Helpdesk Technician to join our team in Austin, TX. This IT Services position will be on the front lines of FLASH's IT systems support. The ideal candidate will have strong technical troubleshooting abilities, excellent communication skills and be willing to interface with a combination of both technical and non-technical departments. The primary task of this position will be to troubleshoot and resolve endpoint issues, install and support the systems, and assist with the day-to-day operations for FLASH's IT infrastructure to provide for the growth of FLASH's initiatives.

What You'll Do:

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware, software, and local area network (LAN)/wide area network (WAN) problems
  • Maintain training on the companys software and hardware components
  • Provide help desk support for company employees including setting up new workstations and user accounts, installing programs, troubleshooting, and system maintenance
  • Field incoming help requests from end-users via telephone, email, and help desk support portal
  • Document all pertinent end user identification information, including name, department, contact information, and nature of problem or issue in the ticketing system
  • Prioritize and schedule problem resolution, escalating, when necessary, to the appropriately experienced technician.
  • Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources on the internet to aid in problem resolution.

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years in a help desk and/or IT Support role
  • Experienced in providing professional and courteous customer service
  • Experience with software as a service (SaaS) and other software hosting protocols
  • Knowledge of computer software, operating systems, domains, hardware and networking
  • Knowledge of Windows 10 OS + Mac preferred
  • Able to work in a team as well as independently
  • Highly Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace Suite
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in a business environment.
