We need to expand our team of hands-on individuals to assist with the rapid growth the company is currently experiencing in the United States. We need someone who is dedicated and can install and commission our parking management products.
Your job title will be “Senior Installation & Maintenance Technician” and you will be responsible for:
Managing and installing system components specified based on detailed installation plans;
Travelling around our key, California-based customers, developing and maintaining relationships with key people, and performing scheduled and on-call maintenance when required;
Arrange and manage external contractors for new and existing installations;
Assembling our range of products - using nuts, bolts, screwing, drilling, soldering, wiring etc;
Dealing with lighting, wiring, power supplies and basic electrical work
Quality control and testing - general visual inspection, smartphone RFID activation, and monitoring on Frogparking's backend website;
Hands-on work with low voltage hardware components, RFID equipment, AVI equipment, switchgear, motor controls, relays, metering, Ethernet and fiber;
Liaising with engineers at head-office to troubleshoot issues, make minor adjustments to hardware, software, or other network components.
Cleaning and/or minor adjustments of malfunctioning or out of spec equipment;
Packaging and preparing product ready for dispatch;
Assisting with stock control and management;
Installation and commissioning product;
Being responsive to email and other forms of communication to ensure timely feedback to senior management and engineers regarding performance;
Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
To Be Considered For This Role You Must Have
5 years of skilled trade experience in either electrical, HVAC, parking control equipment, equipment installation, services maintenance or similar;
Extremely detailed oriented;
Hold a C10 electrical license or have the ability to obtain a C10 within 6 months of commencing employment
Ability to read and follow construction installation plans;
Ability to work unsupervised while delivering a high level of work;
Ability to work nights and weekends at short notice;
Technical knowledge and ability;
An interest in electronics;
Practical experience working in a hands-on environment;
Be able to manage yourself and your own schedule;
Top communication skills (written & verbal);
The ability to work flexible hours when needed;
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent
Hardware and software knowledge
Ability to travel internationally and work with a global team of professionals
Windows / PC / Networking experience
