General Manager (Montgomery, US)

We are looking for a new General Manager to lead our team of managers, valets, and parking service assistants in Montgomery, AL.

The General Manager is responsible for guiding and directing valet operations to ensure that services commensurate with guest/client expectations and established performance standards while achieving the financial goals of the Company. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in business acumen. They will be a competent leader able to provide guidance that enhances performance in a manner which incorporate the company's vision and core values. Lastly the ideal candidate will possess management experience, have strong leadership skills, be innovative, comfortable working with technology, courteous, reliable, efficient, and professional.

Essential Functions

  • Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with the designated site point of contact
  • Hire, manage, schedule, train, and direct the activities of on-site employees
  • Participate in formulating, administering, and enforcing operational policies and procedures
  • Manage the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of staff in accordance with company policies
  • Provide leadership for employee relations through effective communication, coaching, training, development, and performance management
  • Manage the company's commitment to the client and their guests
  • Uphold company standards to ensure physical appearance and operational appearance are being maintained
  • Delegate duties as necessary in order to operate a clean, efficient and safe working environment
  • Manage property damage claims; initiate changes to reduce claims
  • Conduct routine audits and "mystery shop" assessments throughout designated assigned areas
  • Forecast staffing needs and schedule accordingly
  • Ensure schedule is properly communicated
  • Review daily/weekly/monthly reports including timekeeping reports
  • Resolve customer concerns that are escalated by the client, managers, valets, or parking service assistants

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience, hospitality or parking management industry preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of parking operations management experience preferred
  • Experience managing a large workforce with a variety of roles and responsibilities
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem solving skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills with client focus, and an ability to work with all staff levels
  • Excellent interpersonal and excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Prior budgeting experience preferred
  • Must be detailed oriented and able to make sound decisions withing assigned deadlines
  • Ability to work outdoors with exposure to extreme weather conditions
  • Must possess a valid drivers license at all times
  • Must have at least 3 years driving history with a good driving record
  • Must be able to drive a manual transmission (stick shift)
  • This is a 24/7 operation, must be willing to work flexible shifts (days, evenings, weekends, holidays, as needed)
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time as well as jog/run on a consistent basis
  • Must submit to and pass a drug screen
