HR Compliance Manager (San Mateo, US)

We are seeking an experienced HR professional to join our management team and help build and effectively manage our rapidly growing workforce! As the HR Manager, this role is primarily responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely creation and processing of employee documents to ensure compliance with all State and Federal laws. In addition, the HR Manager may lead and support other HR Department responsibilities, including employee relations, benefits, recruiting, onboarding, policy creation, and performance management.

HR Compliance Manager Primary Responsibilities:

  • Update and publicize the Employee Handbook, directory, org charts, policies, and procedures according to the latest laws, regulations, practices and required training.
  • Ensure all processes, policies, & procedures are managed timely and accurately throughout Company HRIS (Paycom).
  • Conduct internal investigations regarding employee disciplinary issues
  • Monitor the performance evaluation program and revise as necessary.
  • Create and update job descriptions as needed.
  • Administer employee benefits program and publish information to the workforce during the annual open enrollment period.
  • Manage claims resolution, garnishments, & change reporting as needed.
  • Oversee employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, exit interviewing and special projects.
  • Document HR Department processes to ensure Company is meeting Compliance standards.
  • Act as primary contact for HR inquiries.
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in the efficiency of the department and services performed.
  • Maintain accurate HRIS records (Paycom) and compile reports for review by Management

HR Compliance Manager Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of HR experience
  • HR Certification required (PHR, SHRM-CP)
  • Excellent written/verbal communications skills and attention to detail
  • Exceptional conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
