The Spirit of the Position:

As a Parking Compliance Associate, you will be responsible for enforcing parking policies, as they are mandated by CampusParc and other relevant parties. On campus, you will act as the face of our operation, directly interacting with a lively and diverse community of students, University employees, and guests. You will also be responsible for providing effective communication between CampusParc and occasionally OSU departments to ensure the timely exchange of accurate information.

Principal Job Duties:

As a Parking Compliance Associate, you will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring metered and permit areas and issuing citations to vehicles in violation of parking ordinances.
  • Accurately inputting vehicle license plates, vehicle information, and violation information using a handheld ticket issuance system.
  • Maintaining and caring for all company-issued equipment (vehicles, phones, tablets, etc.), and reporting any damage or technical issues to the Supervisor/Manager on shift.
  • Occasionally interfacing with University police and/or other University personnel.
  • Providing excellent customer service to all parkers, taking every opportunity to assist with questions, potential disputes, and directions.
  • Performing all job duties in compliance with CampusParc's Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned by Supervisors/Management.

Experience:

  • Experience in face-to-face customer relations.
  • Experience operating handheld devices and computers.
  • 2+ years in an on-street or routed position is preferred but not required.
  • Parking industry experience is preferred but not required.

Physical Demands:

  • Willingness to work in the elements – heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, squat, and lift throughout a shift.
