Loss Prevention Specialist Assistant (Edmonton, CA)

Job description

The Loss Prevention Assistant will conduct various audit processes within their assigned areas of EIA operations. The LPA position assesses revenue security, policy compliance, and maintenance of best practices using an objective, analytical, and pro-active approach. The role works with LP Specialist to ensure LP objectives align with corporate growth strategies and client retention, and provides a comprehensive revenue control program, while maintaining Impark's positive culture and developing exceptional relationships across business units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Balances client services and retention with revenue control
  • Assists in the execution of EIA revenue enforcement
  • Develops a strong understanding of company policies and how they apply to managing parking operations
  • Optimizing revenues by ensuring all parkers are paid parkers within assigned areas
  • Carefully check time expiration of meter tickets displayed on dashboards
  • Carefully check staffing and EIA decals within assigned areas
  • Ensure accuracy in issuing hand-written violations
  • Report any issues or concerns to Manager or Supervisor or appropriate EIA contacts based on severity of issue
  • Comply with all health and safety


  • Diploma in Business management, accounting, audit, loss prevention of fraud prevention preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Strong financial and analytical skills – Solid organizational and time management skills
  • Must have valid class 5 driver’s license and access to vehicle
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communications as well as listening skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and overtime as needed, will include evenings and weekends on occasion
  • Must be able to work outdoors inclement conditions
  • Previous experience working in security/parking environments/operational audit environment in retail or other high volume cash based transactional environment
  • This position offers an hourly wage of $18/Hour with a $200 biweekly vehicle allowance.
