Nedap is the number 1 for security and parking technology in the Middle East. Many governmental, commercial and industrial organizations use our systems to create a pleasurable and secure work environment for everyone. Due to the growth of our organization, we’re looking for a fulltime Dubai based Technical Support Engineer.

Your work is very diverse. With your technical knowledge you support our business partners in solving technical problems. Through providing technical trainings, you will increase the technical knowledge of our business partners. As a product specialist you are responsible for developing your own knowledge about our access control solution as well as our long range reader portfolio. You do this by testing new functionalities and providing input for their documentation. Last but certainly not least, you work closely with our sales team and with your technical knowledge you help winning major projects. The area to be supported covers GCC and Egypt.

Your team

You will be part of a very passionate, motivated and professional team. In the role of Technical Support Engineer you will be supporting the products of two business units of Nedap: Identification Systems as well as Security Management. You will work together with the Technical Support Centers at our headquarters in The Netherlands as well as with the sales, marketing and technical support colleagues based in our brand new office in Dubai Digital Park.

Required experience and skills

Naturally, for this position you must have a deep technical understanding, however, equally important are your soft skills. You should have a passion to provide world-class customer service and enjoy helping customers, yet at the same time don’t shy away from asking questions required to get to the core of the (technical) problem. Solving problems need to give you energy, as well as cooperating with your colleagues. A professional attitude towards the customer and in the team, as well as entrepreneurial thinking and acting are required. The job also requires a certain amount of willingness to travel internationally.

You need to bring the following experience and competencies:

  • At least 2-3 years of working experience in a technical role, preferably within the security or parking industry.
  • Deep technical understanding of networks, TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, routers and ports, IT infrastructures, databases, integrations, software and hardware. Knowledge of RFID is a plus.
  • Providing world-class customer service
  • Fluent Arabic and English language skills, both spoken and written;
  • Customer first mentality / customer oriented;
  • Self-starter and working independently;
  • You enjoy communication and are an active listener.
  • Organized and structured working method;
  • Hands on mentality;
  • Stress-resistant and willing to work outside office hours if technical problem require so.
  • A relevant technical university degree
