The Role

The Procurement Manager will oversee Purchasing, Logistics and Inventory Management.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS And RESPONSIBILITIES

Inventory Management

Plan, purchase and track the goods and materials that Park Assist purchases and holds for sale and service. Assess the balance between replenishment lead time, carrying costs of inventory, asset management, inventory forecasting, inventory valuation, inventory visibility, future inventory price forecasting, physical inventory, available physical space, quality management, replenishment, returns of defective goods and demand forecasting. Drive optimal inventory levels as the business needs shift and react to the wider environment. Always ensure adequate quantities for deliveries.

Accounting

Work with Finance on month end inventory reporting and related analysis.

Sales and Operations Planning

Review the list of requirements for safety stock and adjust quantities based on lead time to support material in-flow. Determine safety stock with Finance Department approval.

Reports

  • Create reports to identify inventory requirements and support related decisions.
  • Create reports showing inventory movement to help calculate reserves.

ERP - Epicor

  • Utilize the software in order to drive efficiencies.
  • Drive Data maintenance.
  • Work with Finance to maximize use of the system.
  • Work with Product Development, IT and other departments to maintain part number integrity and introduce new parts.

Supplier Management

  • Implement technologies, processes, policies, and procedures to support the purchasing process.
  • Drive pricing and vendor performance.
  • Roll out the Park Assist Supplier agreement with vendors as appropriate.
  • Confirm and roll out vendor requirements; create a tool to track the information with selected vendors in order to measure their performance: on-time delivery, quality, price and payments terms.
  • Work with CEO, CFO and VP Product Management to create a cost reduction plan. Consider and discuss potential alternative vendors as appropriate.

Logistics and Warehouse management and control

  • Oversee Warehouse management and drive 3PL service.
  • Oversee deliveries and ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Manage physical movement of goods and related communication with impacted parties.

Purchase Orders

  • Own the PO process and drive compliance and efficiencies.

Education/ Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field.
  • Proven experience in purchasing/vendor/inventory management.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Excellent verbal/written communication and negotiation skills.
  • Superb leadership skills and a strong team player.
  • Analytical mind with strong math skills.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • Must perform well under pressure and deadlines.
  • Ability to work in an International business.
