Parking and Security Manager (Rocky Mount, US)

RMCF SFM, LLC - Rocky Mount Event Center

The Rocky Mount Event Center is an SFM managed facility that will open in October of 2018, in Rocky Mount, NC which is located in the eastern part of the state. The first-class facility is comprised of 165,000 square feet that will have the capacity to host the multi-courts tournament, trade shows, meetings, concerts and community events. The facility also has 15,000 square foot family entertainment center that has a variety of interactive games, ropes course, climbing walls and other family-friendly activates.

Position Summary

The Parking and Security Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of parking for Rocky Mount Event Center as well as year-round security.

Primary Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited To The Following:

  • Plans, organizes and supervises all parking operations at the Rocky Mount Event Center
  • Schedules and implements staffing levels for parking sellers and parking attendants
  • Manage security system, complete incident reports, schedule off-duty Rocky Mount police officers for events as needed
  • Day-to-day coordinating, planning and oversight of contracted security operations
  • Helps devise marketing plan for parking lot events
  • Cross-coordination of parking and traffic control with various departments, clients, and local law enforcement agencies
  • Coordinates and monitors auxiliary parking lots during high volume events
  • Oversee rental of parking lots space in conjunction with Facility Managers at the complex
  • Analyzes and implements ongoing accessibility improvements to parking and other areas on the property
  • Investigates and develops income opportunities
  • Supervise part-time, seasonal, on call and volunteer staff members
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have a business or related degree (4 years of related parking, law enforcement and/or management experience may be substituted for degree)
  • Supervisory experience in managing staff in excess of 20
  • Experience in a commercial parking facility with at least 2,500 spaces
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and staff simultaneously
  • Proven staff development ability
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to work under pressure in an intense environment
  • Experienced in analyzing and developing accessibility improvements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and all Microsoft Word programs
  • Availability to work weekends and a flexible schedule

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds'
  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors
  • Must be able to walk intermittently 2 miles per day
  • Will be required to operate a computer
