Finance Business Partner

About the Role:

The Finance Business Partner will interact regularly with leadership across key functional areas to drive decisions informed by robust analysis skills and strategic business insight. As a dedicated liaison between the business units and the Finance team this role will have high visibility with Passport’s senior management and other key stakeholders, who will rely on the Finance Business Partner for financial guidance and business acumen to inform their strategic decisions.

The candidate must thrive on proactively establishing partnerships across business units to build trust and influence with a deep understanding of the operational needs of the business and how they align with the financial goals of the company.

Responsibilities:

• Working directly with the operational team leaders to connect major strategic or tactical initiatives with cost savings or revenue/expense optimization
• Build financial models, ROI analysis and productivity tools to evaluate whether new initiatives pass the value-added test, contributing positive value to the bottom line
• Leverage systems to retrieve data for business partnering and analytics support, summarizing needed information in a scalable fashion
• Perform and direct a variety of financial analysis, reporting and business modeling exercises across business functions and present results to senior management
• Collaborate, question and communicate with the FP&A team about monthly forecasts and other financial trends and developments on a timely basis
• Develop, implement and drive metrics that increase departmental accountability for strategic and financial goals
• Present performance against metrics clearly and concisely to business leaders to ensure forecasts lead to course corrections when necessary
• Participate in strategy meetings with management to understand the intended direction in target setting and ensure that both short- and long-term priorities are achievable
• Performance management to ensure that the agreed-upon targets are measured on concrete outcomes of growth, savings etc.
• Must be a key influencer, regularly contributing to discussions and decisions for revenue and expense optimization
• Support monthly financial reporting materials for the leadership team and the board of directors by providing detailed insights on key business initiatives and monthly performance
• Other Ad-Hoc Finance related projects as needed

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience as a financial analyst
• Building and operating robust and scalable financial models in support of the monthly close, forecasting and annual budgeting process required
• Experience developing analysis and narratives for summarizing financial performance results required
• Experience collaborating across multiple organizations and building consensus for decisions required
• Experience working within capital markets and venture capital or private equity backed high growth Saas companies strongly preferred
• Superior resource, planning, and time management skills
• Excellent organizational and communication skills required
• Keen, relentless attention to detail required
• Advanced Excel and database skills required.
• Comfort with the collaborative Google suite of products – Sheets, Drive, etc. a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required, MBA is a plus
