Marketing Automation & Operations Manager (Charlotte, US)



As the Marketing Automation and Operations Manager, you will create scalable processes that ensure best practices in lead generation, marketing attribution, database management and analytics. You will conduct complex data analysis that will be used to inform strategic decisions by your marketing colleagues and stakeholders across the business including sales, operations and product. You will be responsible for the daily management of the martech stack and work cross functionally to determine the best tools needed to support marketing team goals and company KPIs.


Marketing Automation

  • Manage all of the technical aspects of our marketing automation platform (Marketo)
  • Identify time-consuming processes, establish best practices, and implement best practices with scalable solutions
  • Build and manage our email marketing program. Monitor and optimize email campaigns to improve deliverability, open rates, and clickthrough rates
  • Work with digital marketing team to design nurture programs that accelerate lead conversion from lead to sales qualified opportunity (SQL)
  • Work with product marketing team to deliver cross sell campaigns that meet company KPIs and revenue goals
  • Be the project manager for integrated marketing programs across the marketing team

Reporting & Analytics

  • Create and maintain marketing performance dashboards using existing tools (Databox, Smartsheets, Google Data Studio, Salesforce)
  • Recommend and implement new reporting & analytics processes and tools needed to scale
  • Analyze marketing campaign and sales data to develop insights and make recommendations on areas for message optimization
  • Monitor and maintain data integrity within the marketing database. Establish database growth goal

Process Alignment

  • Work with product marketing, product management and UX/UI teams to create and execute best-in-class client product lifecycle communications from launch to updates, migrations and end of life.
  • Work with operations team to improve client experience through regular analysis of lifecycle NPS data
  • Build attribution model that connects marketing campaigns to revenue. Establish baseline metric and YoY growth target

Website Management

  • Optimize external website for search
  • Manage minor updates to website as needed

Systems Management

  • Daily Management of the martech stack
  • Work cross functionally to determine how marketing can leverage technology available in other departments to reach KPI goals
  • Evaluate new technologies and add-on applications to improve and optimize marketing team performance such as ABM and Content Management


  • 5-7 plus years digital marketing experience with a strong passion for marketing and the buyer journey
  • BA/BS in marketing, communications, advertising, information technology or related field preferred
  • Exceptional analytical skills and experience with reporting and data analysis using tools such as Looker, Tableau or Databox
  • Marketing Automation / Lead Generation expertise. Marketo experience required. Certified Marketo expert preferred.
  • Database and CRM management experience (Salesforce preferred)
  • Web management, Wordpress, HTML / CSS experience preferred
  • Technically savvy with excellent communications skills and the desire to improve processes cross functionally
  • Experience in B2B SaaS business preferred
