About The Role

The Senior Accountant is an integral role to the Passport team. This role will improve our review process and will assist with some of the technical accounting, financial reporting, and accounting operations load currently handled by the controller and senior accountant.   • Prepare and review monthly journal entries related to general corporate accounting and consolidation processes.
  • Analyze balance sheet and income statement account fluctuations and provide explanations for any significant or unusual changes in balances/activity.
  • Assist with the integration of acquisitions and the consolidation of foreign subsidiaries.
  • Prepare and review detailed account reconciliations, obtain or review corresponding support to verify accuracy of the recorded balances and resolve any reconciling items in a timely manner.
  • Field requests for financial information from various departments and prepare financial reports to respond.
  • Research and analysis related to special projects, including GAAP accounting issues and business initiatives.
  • Assist in the design, implementation, and execution of financial controls.
  • Collaborate on the development, modification, documentation and implementation of accounting process changes.
  • Seek ways to continually improve accounting and organizational processes and procedures to gain efficiency and provide value to internal and external customers.
  • Work with the external auditors in conjunction with annual financial statement audits

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required, master's degree preferred
  • Two or more busy seasons as an auditor with a public accounting firm required (Big 4 preferred)
  • CPA Preferred
