Director of Finance (Somerville, US)

So who are we? We are Paylock, but some know us as IPT. We are a young and growing company with a talented group of individuals which comprises an exceptional team atmosphere. What are we about? Currently our focus is to work with municipalities, universities, and the parking enforcement community around the country to quickly, easily, and humanely manage two very rare urban resources: Parking Space and Time. We currently have several lines of business that each strive to make jobs and lives easier for all those that touch our parking solutions. Whether it be the motorist, the cashier, the manager or our vendors, we try to keep that simple initiative in mind when evolving.

So where do we reside? We have been in Somerville, NJ for all those 10 years because it is a great location, within walking distance to dozens of lunch spots, the train and the bus, and parks and gyms.

What exactly are we looking for? We are looking for a full-time Director of Finance who meets the following criteria:

Education and/or experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year College or University; 10+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language ability

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to compose reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from IPT Management and IPT LLC board members.

Math ability

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Skill areas to include Managing Processes, Financial Software, Developing Standards, Audit, Accounting, Corporate Finance, Tracking Budget Expenses, Analyzing Information, Developing Budgets, and Performance Management.

Reasoning ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer skills

Demonstrate an expert knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint or other presentation software, and Internet browsing ability.

Certificates and licenses

No certifications required; CPA or CMA certification preferred.

Work environment
