Q-Free has outsourced its production to various production partners in Norway and Singapore. We now want to strengthen our production environment within the Supply Chain department with an HW engineer.

The tasks will typically consist of:

  • Development, implementation, and improvement of new and existing production processes
  • Development of hardware and software for our production processes
  • Instrumentation, measurement technique, boundary scan, calibration, RF and function testing and optimization of production processes
  • Analysis of production data for yield and capacity improvements
  • Support for our production partners
  • Maintenance and development of assembly procedures, production process, and documentation
  • Maintenance and development of test procedures and test equipment

Candidates with the following backgrounds are desirable:

  • Minimum Bachelor education or equivalent work experience in one or more areas such as electronics, testing, cybernetics, automation etc.
  • It is desirable to have general experience from measurement technology, production or development of electronics
  • Experience from one or more of the following areas will be emphasized in the assessment:
  • Experience/interest in Linux, Python, LabView or C
  • Testing and verification of electronics/mechatronics
  • Experience with radio and/or radar
  • Experience with camera/optics
  • Experience with boundary scan, preferably X-jtag
  • General quality work including FMEA
  • Technical documentation, process description

  • Good communication skills in English written and oral
  • Creative and proactive with the ability to work in teams
  • Systematic, analytical and ability to solve problems
  • High working capacity and ability to withstand varying workloads
  • Thrives in a hectic everyday life in the face of different cultures

We want applicants with minimum engineering education, and candidates with a minimum of 3 years of experience will be preferred.
