The Director of Marketing Operations is responsible for ensuring that the Marketing & Sales teams have an effective working environment focused on efficiency and business performance. This leader will be responsible for end-to-end development, optimization and governance of marketing automation, marketing operations and demand generation processes. This position will enable scalability by ensuring that technology and automation are integrated and deployed effectively, funnels are optimized, goals are defined clearly and kept in focus, data is tracked properly, data insights are applied, budgets are respected, and communication routines are smooth. Role and Responsibilities
Drives efficient operational management across all parts of the purchase funnel from lead to revenue
Delivers a predictable pipeline at scale to support a dominant market position in a highly competitive space
Creates a delivery method seeded in agile methodology, including fast sprints and frequent interactions, high levels of collaboration and use of data.
Collaborates with internal teams to implement and manage cross-discipline operational processes that produce desired results.
Establish and maintain scalable processes that ensure best practices in campaign and lead management.
Manage technical aspects of key marketing systems (marketing automation, CRM) used to generate and distribute executive level reporting on pipeline and conversion.
Evaluate new technologies and add-on applications to improve and optimize marketing team performance.
Create a unified pipeline team (campaigns, digital, experience) in concert with our sales function with a culture of excellence and to ensure our tech stack will maximize our pipeline in delivering results.
Oversees sourcing, onboarding and terms of required vendors and contractors and responsible for the development and growth of the right tools to further enhance our purchase funnel.
Helps lead, recruit, motivate, and mentor a team of high-performing, data-driven marketers
Manages Salesforce and Hubspot data in collaboration with the Sales team to ensure appropriate data hygiene
Partner with our creative team to develop ad assets, landing pages, etc.
Partners with Marketing business partners to evaluate satisfaction and participates in strategies to drive improvement.
Develops and manages project structures, schedules, budgets, resource plans, etc.
Identifies potential risks, develops mitigation strategies and recommends key decisions for projects.
Prepares, reviews, understands and maintains complex project documentation.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Ten or more years of related work experience required with a BS or BA degree in a related field preferred
Demonstrated program management skills to lead and execute on a variety of complex projects simultaneously, delivering on budget and on deadline
Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor, to include favorable representation of the company to internal and external audiences
Proven ability to work both independently, proactively, and as part of a team while exercising sound judgment and managing matrix relationships to meet goals
Ability to manage external vendor resources and relationships - this position may have indirect and direct supervisory responsibility for 3rd party vendor support staff
This position may require select travel, and the ability to work early mornings, evenings and weekend hours as necessary
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to manage high volume of work and multiple priorities
Expertise in digital advertising and lead generation tools
Ability to work independently (tactical, strategic, and proactive) as well as part of a team
Leadership skills to effectively manage a growing team
Experience with related software including Salesforce, Hubspot, Asana, Monday, etc.
