IT Manager (Columbia, US)


Position Summary

We are seeking a IT Manager to join our growing organization. In this role, you will be responsible for the oversight of the company’s internal information technology infrastructure and resources. The candidate must be able to balance daily operations and projects in a cross functional operating environment. Our ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of network maintenance and advanced industry knowledge to keep us on the cutting edge. From day one, you’ll have an immediate impact on the day-to-day efficiency of our IT operations, and an ongoing impact on our overall growth.

Role and Responsibilities

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee corporate IT operations and evaluating resources in accordance with established goals
  • Manage the IT team to ensure day to day functions are upheld
  • Ensure maximum uptime of corporate IT resources
  • Lead large IT projects including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services
  • Help define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes
  • Help define and implement procedures, standards, and guidelines that conform to the company’s policies
  • Analyze business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions for IT needs
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IT infrastructure
  • Assist with the management and development of our IT disaster recovery plan
  • Design and maintain systems and process documentation, IT training plans, and manuals for end users
  • Work with vendors and consultants to resolve issues as necessary

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in the information technology field
  • Hands on knowledge of Microsoft Technologies including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and PowerShell
  • Proven experience managing IT infrastructure and services
  • Comfortable using the Linux terminal
  • Experience maintaining network equipment including switches, firewalls, routers, and access points
  • Strong understanding of: LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, SFTP, VPN, SMTP

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience meeting and maintaining compliance requirements
  • Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical personnel
  • Experience with VoIP Phone systems and call center administration
  • Experience in Office 365 Administration
  • Experience with AWS infrastructure and services
