Job description

The Operations and Maintenance technician is a competent and versatile troubleshooting expert who maintains and operates a robotic car park.

Responsibilities / tasks include:

  • perform operations, maintenance and technical support to ensure safe and profitable operation of the facility with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical or control systems on both robots and system infrastructure
  • Operate the system during all phases of its life cycle: installation, start-up, operation under normal conditions or in degraded mode in accordance with operating procedures and instructions in order to maintain safe and efficient operation.
  • Assist in the administration of the facility in areas such as the development of operating procedures, procurement and inventory and other areas necessary to ensure compliance with contractual commitments.
  • Perform / lead maintenance tasks to maintain a clean, safe and professional work environment.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all safety and environmental procedures.
  • Maintain a high level of environmental and regulatory compliance, in line with customer requirements and industry best practices. Attached to the Lyon site, this position will require travel (France, Europe) which may last several weeks in certain situations. Travel will be planned as much as possible, but there may be times when unforeseen travel is required.

The position is initially offered on a fixed-term contract with a high probability of changing to a permanent contract depending on the company's order book.

The O&M Technician provides the organization with a knowledgeable, multi-skilled, troubleshooting expert who maintains and operates a robotized car-park.

Responsibilities / Duties include:

  • The O&M Technician will be a team player performing operations, maintenance and technical support to achieve safe, cost effective operation and maintenance of the facility with minimum supervision.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical or control systems both on robots and system infrastructure
  • Operate the facility during installation, start-up, normal, and emergency conditions in accordance with operating procedures and instructions to maintain a safe and efficient operation.
  • Assist in the administration of the facility in areas such as development of operating procedures, purchasing, and inventory and other areas necessary to support the Service Maintenance Agreements.
  • Perform / direct housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean safe work environment and professional appearance.
  • Work within and ensure strict adherence to all safety and environmental procedures.
  • Ensure environmental compliance with regulation, customer requirements and industry best practices. This position will require mandatory scheduled & unscheduled travel (France, Europe) that can last several weeks in certain situations. Travel will be scheduled if able, but there may be times where emergency travel is required. *

The position is initially offered on a fixed-term contract with a high probability of evolving into a permanent contract depending on the company's order book.

Required profile

This position requires flexibility and versatility as well as a good capacity for teamwork.

Training and / or significant experience (s) in mechanical maintenance, electrical maintenance or instrumentation and controls are essential criteria

Language requirements:

  • fluency in French and English
  • fluency in German would be a plus
  • This position requires a highly flexible individual capable of becoming multi-skilled and working in a team environment performing various team support functions.
  • Education or experience in mechanical maintenance, electrical maintenance, or instrumentation and controls.
