Summary of Position Functions

The Content Creator is responsible for establishing and managing marketing content that supports T2’s strategic goals and brand position at a corporate level. The Content Creator’s responsibilities include writing marketing copy to promote our products and services, researching industry topics, and supporting the growth and awareness of the T2 brand.

The Content Creator will write and publish content and copy for a variety of applications including articles, case studies, blog posts, presentations, social media posts, and more. This position will work across the Marketing team and provide support for Product Marketing and Events as needed.

This position requires a wide range of skills, including the ability to adopt T2’s “voice,” working as a team player, and managing outside vendor relationships when needed. Creativity and strong writing skills are essential; applicants should be prepared to share samples of their work. Graphic design skills are a plus, but not required.

Essential Position Functions

  • Develops and refines marketing communications materials including advertising, collateral, electronic communications, promotional materials, and direct marketing campaigns
  • Writes and edits communication materials in a variety of mediums, and works openly and effectively with other departments to effectively capture and message information
  • Develops and implements marketing communications plan and calendar to be incorporated in T2 Marketing Calendar
  • Crafts digital copy optimized for search engine optimization and consistent with brand standards
  • Develops and supports marketing communications objectives based on Marketing and Strategic goals
  • Communicates T2 brand position to external and internal audiences
  • Helps educate T2 staff about marketing tools available and how to use them
  • Contributes messaging, content, and editing to lead generation campaigns

Education and Qualifications

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or other related fields from four-year college or university
  • Two to four years writing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be able and willing to travel both domestic and international at least 10% of the time

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong copywriting and editing skills; significant writing experience required
  • Ability to adjust writing tone and style for different audiences while adhering to company writing/brand standards
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to shifting requests as needed
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat; experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
  • Must possess strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and analytical abilities
  • Works well independently and is able to establish strong working relationships with remote stakeholders
  • Must have excellent ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, staff, customers, and external audiences
  • Ability to work with a CRM, sales force automation, or marketing automation software to manage projects and campaigns desired
  • Ability to work under deadline pressure and extra hours if needed on assignments
  • Experience working with the public sector (i.e., municipalities, universities) desirable
  • Knowledge of T2’s software products, services, and processes is required which can be obtained through T2’s training tools, intellect, technical inclination, and dedication to gain such knowledge
