Job Summary

This full time permanent position is for our Indianapolis or Burnaby, BC office. The Proposal / RFP Manager will be responsible for coordinating RFP responses across the three T2 product lines: Permits & Enforcement, PARCS, and Pay Stations.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Marketing and Product Management teams to establish continuous RFP content improvement and update goals: prioritize edit/creation of solution and service standard content; evaluate and update the standard RFP formats by product line; create an RFP content management plan with key stakeholders in marketing, sales and product management.
  • Work with sales teams to customize large, strategic RFP responses to increase T2 opportunity win rate.
  • Establish an RFP content management strategy initially leveraging existing tools (SharePoint, Salesforce workflow, Confluence), and establish a medium/long term content management strategy leveraging additional tools as required.
  • Project manage the completion of RFP responses, coordinating the efforts of T2 contributors from sales, sales engineering, product management and other groups.
  • Establish detailed project timelines for content improvement and metrics to measure effectiveness of RFP response process.
  • Utilize technical writing skills to develop and edit content for RFP responses.
  • Minimal travel (10% max) to US and parts of Canada.

Key Success Characteristics

  • Extremely strong communication skills and experience in technical writing.
  • Strong project management skills – ability to coordinate projects across multiple work groups.
  • Strong prioritization skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Ability to work in an environment with tight project deadlines.

Education and Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent is required.
  • 2-5 years of experience in technical writing, proposal or RFP response creation, or marketing communications.
  • Experience with all Microsoft Office products required.
  • Experience with various desktop publishing tools to produce external/customer content.
  • Experience working in Salesforce.com preferred.
