Essential Position Functions

The QA Developer will be working with our energetic team using the Agile development methodology on our Web Based Multi-tenant and Embedded Parking Solution(s) product. You would be working with a great group of skilled individuals and mentors. All focused on the common goal of providing our customers quality products that contribute to their success by delivering mission-critical technology, solutions and expertise in the parking industry.

Essential Position Functions

  • Design, document and implement various Engineering related projects and in-house application software applications as appropriate.
  • Integrate third party solutions into existing automation solutions.
  • Learn and perform all levels of QA best practices (manual and automated), applicable to our Iris application and surrounding micro services as well as exposure to our Embedded Paystation Platform.
  • Automation testing with Python.
  • Develop and maintain Robot Automation Scripts.
  • Develop, Maintain and Execute black box testing and Test Scripts
  • Maintain existing computer programs or tools by making modifications as required.
  • Experience with relational and non-relational DBs.
  • Identify and communicate technical problems, processes and solutions.
  • Produce, and Regress Defects and or Regression Suites.

Education and Qualifications

  • 3+ years' industry experience in QA or Software Engineering.
  • University Degree in Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited post-secondary institution (or equivalent).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge / Comfortability with using Python.
  • Learn the Robot automation framework.
  • Experience in object-oriented programming.
  • Investigative and problem-solving mentality / approach.
  • Flexibility to take on challenges and to work independently.
  • Utilize Continuous Integration practices.
  • Selenium Web driver.
  • Understanding and using Jenkins.
  • Rest API Endpoint Automation.
  • Understanding of Microservices Infrastructure.
  • Git/ SourceTree.
  • C/C++ or Java development experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of embedded systems an asset.
