Summary of Position Functions
T2 is looking for a high-energy professional with strong technical aptitude and natural sales instincts to join our Sales Development team. You will gain experience interacting with clients of all levels, in a variety of industries and across North America. As a T2 Sales Development Representative, you will lead our Sales organization to the highest quality, quantity, and velocity of strategic pipeline through deep discovery and research, engaging and inspiring prospects towards the path of success.
Essential Position Functions
Responds to and qualifies incoming web and phone inquiries regarding T2 products
Partners with the Regional Sales Managers to develop contact strategies and help fill their pipeline
Assembles contact lists of prospective clients through publications and the internet
Maintain active engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow-up communications designed to increase interest in T2 products
Engages customers and prospects over the phone to determine which problems they are currently facing that our products can solve

Education and Qualifications

Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; and three to five years’ related experience and/or training in sales; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong phone, Internet, and media research experience required. Excellent telephone manner required.
Experience with Salesforce.com is preferred.
Experience cold calling to municipalities, universities and private companies desired.
Experience selling a combination of hardware and software products desired. Experience with solution selling desired.
Must be a self-starter with a strong desire to succeed.
Outstanding communication, organizational, and time management skills required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of T2’s software products, services, and processes is required which can be obtained through T2’s training tools, intellect, technical inclination, and dedication to gain such knowledge.
Knowledge of various operating systems, software products (e.g. word processors, spreadsheet programs, etc.) required.
Ability to track/follow through on leads through the sales process using detailed reports from Salesforce.com.
Ability to engage in active listening giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business, professional, and technical documents.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from prospects, customers, management, and staff.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
