Financial Controller (Swindon, UK)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller to join the WPS’s UK team.

What you will do

This role is a key contributor to the Senior Management Team WPS UK providing financial advice and support to the WPS UK MD, wider finance, HR, procurement and operating teams. You will act as a link between Group and local Finance team’s proactively managing consistency of reporting and future expectations.

The Finance Controller will ensure that company financial statements are true and fair. Own and prepare all required reporting to external bodies, such as HMRC. Actively participate in developing and successfully implementing the business strategy of WPS UK. You will also be required to deputise for the Managing Director when necessary.

There will be occasional travel to the Netherlands and other Dynniq UK and Ireland sites.

What we are looking for

In order to fulfill the role successfully the following are some of the key skills and experience required:

  • Degree qualified or equivalent qualified Accountant
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading and managing a team.
  • Ability to disseminate complex information in concise briefing reports
  • Strong business partnering skills to challenge and build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong communicator with high verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Strong ERP and IT skills, including advanced Excel and MS office skills
  • Full driving licence
