In this creative and data-driven role, you will help us develop the product and focus on marketing outreach. WPS Parking Systems is currently in the middle of a transition to grow towards a more software/service oriented organization. This is where you bring your added value to the table with new innovative propositions, without losing sight of our most profitable assets. As Product Marketing Manager you are responsible for leading a cross-functional team to create, develop and implement our (new) products in the right market globally. You will be the first Global Product Marketeer within WPS Parking Systems and it will be your responsibility to determine customer needs as well as define the product vision and thought out roadmap strategy for the future. Within this position your contribution is highly valued and you will set the standards for our successful and futureproof journey. You will report directly to our Technology Director. Our Marketing employee and Product Owners (hardware and software) will report directly to you.
Improve product competitiveness;
Provide insight in market opportunities (GAP analyses);
Empower sales force with compelling marketing assets and product training.
Distill key functionality and features of the product into compelling marketing assets and advertising possibilities;
Create understanding of customer needs and gather product requirements;
Work closely with the development team to determine product priorities and roadmap;
Collaborate with PO-s, sales and technical writers to ensure they deliver high-quality product-related content and training material;
Communicate with the sales team to coordinate joint marketing/sales activities;
Create and share portfolio strategy, USP's, demo's and references;
Continuously monitor the market to identify new opportunities and gain competitive advantages;
Develop business cases for assigned products, including product pricing and positioning.
Strong communication skills: you are passionate about simplifying complex technical ideas for our internal and external stakeholders. After all, you are the voice of the customer and know how to align our vision and product story with the needs of the markets;
Interpersonal intelligence: In addition to solid communication skills, it is also of importance to possess excellent interpersonal skills to effectively inspire and lead the people you work with. From customers to stakeholders, you get others on board with your innovative product vision;
Analytic mastermind; You regularly perform extensive market research to determine what our consumers need as well as where competitors stands in relation to our organization. After completing market research, you are able to analyze and use this data to make strategic product decisions with the team;
Project Manager by heart; you are a highly organized go-getter with proven ability to manage competing projects with tight deadlines effectively. Shifting from high-level strategy to tactical marketing execution.
What you’ll bring to the table
Proven track record (minimum of 5-7 years) as Marketing or Product Manager in a B2B and software/service oriented environment;
Fluent in English both in verbal and written, Dutch in verbal and written is a preference;
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing or Business studies;
Technical affinity to acquire relevant product knowledge.
