Track, trace and manage your assets with KSW Microtec at RFID Journal Live! 2008
A comprehensive range of HF and UHF inlays for the RFID cards and labels market will be on show by KSW Microtec, one of the worlds leading suppliers of RFID components, at RFID Journal LIVE!, RFID Journal's 6th annual executive conference and exhibition, held at The Venetian in Las Vegas, USA on April 16th 18th, 2008.
Applications include supply chain management, track and trace, security and anti-counterfeiting in the automotive and transit, pharmaceuticals and retail industry sectors.
Highlights at the show will include the unique KSW UHF Amberwing inlay, which is ideal for UHF cards and labels. The Amberwing design can be adjusted according the sheet size requirements of the card or label manufacturer and has shown excellent read range and bandwidth test results following recent testing by chip manufacturer NXP Semiconductors.
In the high frequency (HF) area KSW launches a new compact 15 x 15 mm inlay ideal for item level tagging of small items, especially in the pharmaceutical industry. Because of its small size, it is also very cost effective. The inlay is compatible with ISO standard 15693 and is suitable for proximity applications.
The newly introduced WindSpeed inlay family for the automotive and transport industry will also be on show at KSWs stand. WindSpeed inlays offer a wide UHF bandwidth from 868MHz to 915MHz and are based on passive RFID technology. These KSW labels ensure a long reading distance of approximately 5.5 meters at a more reasonable cost compared to the active transponders commonly used. Applications include high-speed access to corporate parking lots, high security commercial and industrial areas, gated residential communities, toll stations, car rental parks and car washes. The inlays are easily attached behind the glass without the need for special mounting material and thus prevent the label from being exposed to harsh weather conditions and manipulation by unauthorized users.
