PIPS Technology, Inc. Announces Handheld OCR

The PIPS handheld PAGIS interface offers seamless integration for existing BOSS users in a lightweight, portable and rechargeable product that can be used in on or off street parking, semi-covert, crime scene mapping, auto theft, federal security and special event applications. PIPS has successfully deployed this application in a border security environment with very positive results.

PAGIS and BOSS have quickly become the international standard for enterprise level license plate recognition software, and this is a natural extension of both. Our new handheld software offering will continue the seamless expansion of our BOSS platform as the standard for public safety users worldwide. It offers a flexible and lower cost alternative to what is currently available on the market today. In addition, it easily leverages PIPS proven and highly accurate OCR capability to expand and deploy to smart phone devices and other alternative applications.
