3rd Annual Professional Recognition Nominations - Submit Now!

The International Parking Institute (IPI) understands the critical nature that facilities and programs play in our business. However, our most valuable assets are our human resources; the staff who operate, maintain and manage our operations. To recognize those contributions of individuals to our industry, IPI is seeking nominees for the 3rd Annual Professional Recognition Program.
Awards will be handed out at IPIs Annual Conference & Exposition Awards Luncheon Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at the Colorado Convention Center.

The categories for nominations include the following:
Parking Professional of the Year (for management/supervisory staff that directs an entire operation or manages multiple units within a department)
Parking Supervisor of the Year (supervises one or more employees within a department responsible for only one multiple units within the department)
Parking Staff Member(s) of the Year (for front-line staff)
Parking Organization of the Year
Chairmans Award (to recognize one member each of the Board of Directors and Advisors)

The committee will select award recipients through criteria including organizational membership, professional reputation, contribution to the parking industry, creative solutions or innovations and standards of customer service, among others.

The 2008 Professional Recognition Winners were:

Parking Professional of the Year - Fred Bredemeyer, CAPP, Miami Parking Authority

Parking Employee(s) of the Year - Mike Casad, City of Portsmouth, NH

Honorable Mention Parking Employee of the Year - Rachna Prasad, UC Davis Health System Parking & Transportation Services

Parking Organization of the Year - Miami Parking Authority

Chairmans Award Winners were:

Board of Advisors - Robert Milner, CAPP, University of Baltimore, Maryland

Board of Directors - Casey Jones, CAPP, University of Colorado, Denver
